We are delighted that you wish to find out about the possibility of a baptism at St Peter’s
At its heart baptism is about the decision to become a follower of Jesus or to bring your child up as a follower of Jesus. The baptism service is a visible and public sign of that decision.
The promises that parents and Godparents make at a baptism are big commitments and not taken lightly. If you decide that you are not able to make the promises required by a baptism then we’d be very happy to talk to you about a service of thanksgiving as an alternative.
If you are thinking about baptism either for yourself or your child then the first step is to come to a regular service at St Peter’s and speak to the vicar or one of the churchwardens.
Please note that your child should normally be baptised in their own parish church – if you do not live in the parish of Wisborough Green please first speak to your own vicar.
